The property is not far from city but still in a peaceful place. The stay was very relaxing and peaceful. The host and every staff are very helpful. Food was very tasty, homely. Lots of greenery around, few pets and lighting make this place more beautiful.

Had booked 2 rooms at this place through MakeMyTrip. The evening before we were to leave I was feeling unwell. Contacted the hotel and MakeMyTrip. I tested COVID positive the next day. I requested for cancellation. This is the response I got from MakeMyTrip Dear guest Greetings, As per the telephonic conversation with the Hotel Owner Ms. Ambreen , she is agree to give you the check-in in the hotel in any how with Covid positive or not . After reading reviews thought it will be good and chose it instead of a resort. The rooms are of poor quality and not as shown in the photos. After paying so much, you have to call in the morning to ask to switch on the geyser, needed to ask multiple times. TV in the room doesn't work. Called them in the morning to checkout, no response. So finally left without informing as I was getting late. Overall I felt price is double the actual rate it is worth of. Very disappointed overall

Hey.. We had a wonderful stay at Mountain Valley home stay. From welcoming staff to the homely log house we had fun thoroughly. With beautifully maintained infrastructure and the fun including carrom, camp fire and amazing food made it hard for us to leave the place. Special thanks to Mrs. Amreen for guiding us through the outings in Chikmagalur , Mr. Musthafa who helped us a lot there and the two other friendly staff whose name we couldn't catch but where very helpful. Booked cottage having 2 independent rooms from 27th October 2021. Booking process was smooth through Madam Amreen. The first impression was very attractive. Compound was covered with lots of plants & greenery. Rooms looked cosy though some fine tuning is needed for better customer satisfaction. For example : bathroom should have bathtub, exhaust fans, better cloth hanging system. Water was leaking from hand shower & toilet flush. Nets should have been provided in windows as insects from outside are entering. TV recharge not done before allowing guests to stay. Milk pouch supplied was two & half years old. It was changed after reporting. Room is not cleaned daily unless requested. Shampoo, tooth brush should have been provided in bathroom. Towels should be changed, it has been very old. Sit out area is good though guests of other cottage have to use this area for their thoroughfare which rob's privacy. Madam Amreen is very cooperative & homely. Lots of plants, flowers & some pet animals have made this place kid friendly also. Evening lighting made the place romantic. People can enjoy campfire. Dining area can be made better. Lighting should be more. Food is ok though both south & north items were expected. Some group of guests were taking whole food container to other place is not acceptable. Actually what we felt that the owner or host has the intention to do good but insufficient staffs are unable to control the situation. Mustafa & other 2 guys are trying their best. Whatever requested, Mustafa arranged with smiling face. He is really a nice guy. Heard that only one cook is preparing all the items ! It is unthinkable. Location of this homestay is great. Situated on the Golf club road, surrounding area is very beautiful. Though there are some shortage of professional approach but I think guest can get the service if pointed out. They have will to do. Thx to the owner & all staffs.
